A merkabah is a geometric solid made from two intersecting tetrahedrons. One tetrahedron points upwards and the other points down forming a three- dimensional, eight-pointed star. The energy from the two tetrahedrons spins in opposite directions causing a three-dimensional energy field to be created.

Merkaba are symbols used in many ancient schools of mysticism. In Ancient Egyptian, mer means rotating fields of light, ka means spirit, and bah means soul. In Hebrew, merkabah means chariot. Those two divergent cultures both consider a merkabah to be a divine light vehicle. Merkabahs can carry your thinking to another level, and so are often used during meditation.
